Originally from Houston, Payten left a career in tech after experiencing burnout and a deeper calling toward creativity. Her first year as a full-time artist included multiple exhibitions and art fairs that quickly cemented her as one to watch
From her downtown Austin studio, she draws daily inspiration from the city's energy and allows intuition to lead her process. Each piece begins as a subconscious expression and evolves into a carefully layered work of art.
