Ripped My Heart Open

Ripped My Heart Out, is an original abstract piece on wood panel by Austin Artist Julie Ahmad. There are many layers and depth in this piece. There are parts that have been scratched and ripped out in order to express the heart ache and hurt that occurs where there is mistrust in a relationship. Hurt, vulnerability and beauty all come to mind when I experience this piece. The beauty lies with in the vulnerability and the hurt just lets us know we are human and reminds us that relationships need tending to, in order to be sustained.
