Job Summary:

​

Intern will work on their own body of work while shadowing Contemporary Artist Julie Ahmad, and assist with Marketing initiatives. Internship will culminate in a final group show at the West Austin Studio Tour in May 2019 under the Art Boss, atx group.  Similar to the group shows done with a collective of professional artist last year during the tour Femme-Easta.

Initiatives and Programs include Art Shows, Portfolio Development, Content Creation, Photo-shoots, Photo Editing, Social Media Presence, Monthly Newsletter, Sales Campaigns and Expanding retail presence in Austin and beyond.

This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. Individuals must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. This internship is an excellent opportunity to understand sales, artist branding, and marketing development while supporting a small business and working hands on with a professional artist.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop body of work for West Austin Studio Tour to showcase in May 2019

• Assist the Marketing Assistant

• Assist in creating and implementing social media content

• Take photos and videos

• Assist with the details that go into executing a successful art show

• Run errands and perform various tasks.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio

• Creativity, Tech-Savvy and a can-do attitude.

• Self-starter with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to be flexible in work assignments.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, collaborative work style.

• Proficiency in use of Social Media.

• Some college required, fine art background preferred.

• Prior interning experience is not required.

• Candidate’s individual skill set and interests will be considered and leveraged.

• 10-15 hours of availability per week
