I was interviewed by KMFA.895 Radio at the show and I am so grateful to Guillermo for making me feel so at ease!! I have a secret fear and hatred for public speaking, but I felt so comfortable!!

A little History on this ICONIC Austin-Staple...
In 1945, Louis Shanks opened his first furniture store in Austin, Texas. Seventy-seven years later and four generations of his family running the stores, they continue to provide Central Texan's with the finest home furnishings and service.
Serving the Austin community for almost a century, this family-owned store provides the city with luxurious furnishings and also work to promote local artists in having a featured artist every month along with Gallery Opening Receptions for each artist at their store! With each featured artist, there is also a paired Interior Designer who designs the show spaces based on the aesthetics of the artwork to best compliment it.
Like-minded is Julie Ahmad as she is happy to bring artwork to the homes of her local clients to put their minds at ease and to ensure the artwork is the perfect fit for their space.

This event was a celebration of art, design and furniture, and attracted a large crowd of art lovers and design enthusiasts. Highlighting the latest furniture pieces and interior design trends with my modern, abstract paintings. The abstract pieces were hand-selected by the Louis Shanks staff and were on display on the first floor of the store for guests to easily see and enjoy.
One of the guests at the event commented, "I was blown away by Julie Ahmad's art. The pieces are so full of life and energy, and they really make the furniture at Louis Shanks come alive."
The event was a great success, and it provided guests with an opportunity to see some of my latest works in a new and exciting setting. Louis Shanks Furniture in Austin is known for its commitment to quality and design, and the event was a perfect showcase of their philosophy.
