My latest show, "Captured" was held last Saturday at Cafe Josie in Austin! I am proud to say this was my first solo show-outside of EAST and WEST Austin Studio Tours. The turnout for this show was incredible and I have you all to thank for that!

I really love it when children are so curious about my art work, or art in general. I love talking to them about the process of creating my fluid art and what goes on behind the scenes because they are so amazed! These kids really liked hearing about all the different tools I use to move the ink - blowdryers, straws, droppers, etc.
A child's curiosity is MAGICAL. I remember being a kid and how much excitement I felt when I learned something new or out of the ordinary. I love being that source of excitement or novelty for someone else.
OMG! Photos don't do this food justice! Cody at Cafe Josie served us up some delicious glazed Brussel sprouts, pimento cheese spread, and hummus that made my soul sing! I really appreciate Cody's patience and generosity throughout the show. Cody is also a big supporter of
local artists! Yay, Cody!
I can truly say I had a great time hosting this show. I was surrounded by friends, family, and people from all over who came to support me and my art. It was a really fun time and I am definitely looking forward to doing more solo shows like this one! ;)
Last, but not least, here is my baby girl getting all excited over Candied Coral! She liked it so much she asked to have a photo shoot with the piece! But I gotta say, she is definitely the selling point here! She was so excited that she could come to my show, and I was so happy to have her there with me <3
